Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has achieved a historic milestone in music education with the conclusion of the inaugural "Berklee in Nigeria: Tiwa Savage Intensive Music Program."
The initiative, held from April 22 to 26, 2026, at the National Theatre in Lagos, saw 18 outstanding participants awarded fully funded undergraduate scholarships worth over $2.1 million to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston.
The intensive five-day program, organized by the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation (TSMF), provided 120 emerging artists, producers, and songwriters with hands-on training from world-class Berklee faculty.

Spearheaded by Savage, a 2007 Berklee alumna, the project aimed to bridge the gap between African talent and structured global infrastructure.
The grand finale, hosted by Darey Art Alade and Kiekie, featured performances blending Afrobeats, Jazz, and R&B, with guest appearances by Teni the Entertainer.
A viral highlight of the evening was the public reconciliation between Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay, who were seen embracing years after their publicized 2021 rift.
"This is only the beginning," Savage stated. "We are ensuring African creatives have the tools to lead the world stage."
