Villarreal vs Liverpool: All you need to know about Champions League second semifinal Leg 2

With the competition finally down to the final four, it will be interseting to see whether Unai Emery can carry the 'yellow submarine' to its first ever UCL final or will Klopp avenge his defeat to Emery's then side Sevilla in the Europa League final in six years ago.

Liverpool will look to seal its victory against Villarreal when the two sides meet in the second leg of the second semifinal of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) on Tuesday.

The Reds have already secured a lead in the first leg, with an own goal from Villarreal and Sadio Mane netting the second and will look to build on the lead as it looks to play its third Champions League final in five years.

Unai Emery's Villarreal has already shown against Bayern Munich, its ability to attack on the counter and Liverpool will have to be cautious not to give any space to the Spanish side.

HEAD-TO-HEAD: Liverpool and Villarreal have come up against each other once before in the Europa League 2015-16 semifinal, wherein the Reds had come out victorious 3-1 on aggregate.

The last time Liverpool travelled to Villarreal, it returned with a loss. With a two-goal advantage this time around, Klopp's Liverpool will look to rectify that in Spain. (

Met Gala 2022: Nicki Minaj, Elon Musk, others dazzle on red carpet

Met Gala, an annual fundraising event fondly referred to as fashion’s biggest night, is back.

With the theme, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”, the ball which traditionally holds every first Monday in May, returned as scheduled this year.

While the event could not hold in 2020, it was postponed to September in 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The event’s dress code, ‘Gilded Glamour and White Tie’, saw celebrities delving into the fashion archives of late-nineteenth-century New York, according to Vogue.

The Gilded Age, a period which spanned 1870 to 1890, was characterised by “unprecedented prosperity, cultural change, and industrialisation” in the city.

As earlier announced, hosts of the night’s red carpet included, Vogue editor-at-large, Hamish Bowles; actor and singer, Vanessa Hudgens; and TV personality, La La Anthony.

Styled by Ricardo Tisci, iconic hip-hop star, Nicki Minaj stunned in an all-black ensemble consisting of a sleeveless tulle dress, leather leggings, and a Burberry baseball cap. Her face, shoulders, and arms were spotted with gleaming black stones to complete the look.

Former United States Secretary of States, Hilary Clinton, was also present at the event in a simple red, long-sleeved ball gown.

Singer Alicia Keys, also walked the red carpet in a black gown with a sweeping cape adorned with bejewelled images of New York’s famous skyscrapers.

South African billionaire, who currently holds the title of World’s richest man, Elon Musk, also graced the red carpet in a black tailcoat. He was accompanied by his mother, Maye, who was dressed in a crimson velvet Dior gown.

The Kardashians are not left out in the parade, with Kylie Jenner stealing the show in an Off-White wedding dress, and a net-veiled baseball hat. Her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney both made their debut appearance at the event this year. Punchng

EPL: Real reasons Man Utd re-signed Cristiano Ronaldo – Roy Keane

Former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane has claimed Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to the club was “a short-term fix for the fans and the share price”.

Keane stated this on Monday night, after Ronaldo scored his 18th Premier League goal in the 3-0 drubbing of Brentford.

However, Keane insists there is “no logic” to any possibility of letting Ronaldo leave Old Trafford.

“It [Ronaldo’s signing] was a short-term fix, for the fans, for the share price. But he has still scored the goals.

“I just think with the goals that he has got, his performances, warrants staying at the club. But Manchester United have to get players around him, they have to get other strikers in, there has to be competition for places.

“If the leading goalscorer, the man you are depending on, is 37 years of age then that is certainly not good but I would certainly be holding onto Ronaldo,” Keane told Monday Night Football. Dailypost
