EFCC Probe: Shallipopi Agrees to Cease Social Media & Musical Commentary on Dapper Case

Afrobeats star Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, has announced a complete halt to all public commentary regarding his ongoing legal and financial dispute with his former manager, Damilola Akinwumi (Dapper).

The statement follows Shallipopi's public accusations in mid-August alleging that Dapper Music and Entertainment Limited withheld royalties from 46 of his released tracks.

Shallipopi explained that following formal consultations, both his legal counsel and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) explicitly advised him to step back from social media commentary and refrain from referencing the dispute in his music to protect the integrity of the active investigation.

Although expressing frustration at being unable to address the matter directly, the "Pluto Presido" hitmaker emphasized that he stands firmly behind his original claims as anti-graft investigators work to resolve the case.

"My legal team and the EFCC have advised me that, for justice to be served, I need to step back and trust the legal process." — Shallipopi, Nigerian Artiste
