Ayra Starr Upgrades London Venue to O2 Academy Brixton After 11,000 Join Presale Queue

Afrobeats sensation Ayra Starr has officially announced a major venue upgrade for the London leg of her highly anticipated Starrgirl World Tour, bowing to overwhelming demand after ticket presales sold out almost instantly.

The Mavin Records star confirmed via social media that her scheduled London performance on February 2, 2027, has been moved from the 2,000-capacity O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire to the iconic O2 Academy Brixton.

The new venue boasts a capacity of over 4,900, offering significantly more space for the thousands of fans trying to secure tickets.

The decision followed staggering presale statistics, which saw more than 11,000 eager fans enter the virtual ticket queue in less than 12 hours—more than five times the capacity of the original venue.

The London concert will serve as a marquee finale for the European leg of her global tour before the Grammy-nominated singer moves on to headline venues across North America in March 2027.

General ticket sales for the upgraded O2 Academy Brixton show are set to open on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 10 a.m. British Summer Time (BST).
