Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has revealed that he would prefer none of his children pursue a career in the music industry.
Speaking in a recent episode of The Vibe podcast, the father of six shared his candid thoughts on the hardship and intense public scrutiny he faced while climbing to global stardom.
Davido disclosed that his second daughter, Hailey Veronica Adeleke, is already displaying a strong inclination toward music and possesses an impressive singing voice.

However, remembering his own personal and professional struggles, the hitmaker admitted to being deeply skeptical about encouraging her to step into the entertainment industry.
Despite his reservations, Davido acknowledged that he would not forcefully block any of his children from following their passions if they chose to do so, citing how his own family eventually gave him the freedom to chase his dreams.
"I don’t want any of my children to pursue music. My second daughter [Hailey] is already leaning towards music. She is the life of the party. She behaves just like me. She actually has a good voice. But I know what I went through. Can you go through what I go through? Knowing what I have been through, I’m skeptical about encouraging any of my children to do music." — Davido
