2Baba Congratulates Son Justin Idibia on Instagram After Online Criticism

Legendary Nigerian Afro-pop musician Innocent Idibia, universally known as 2Face or 2Baba, has broken his silence to publicly celebrate his son, Justin Idibia, following intense online backlash from fans over his apparent physical absence at the boy's graduation.

The controversy ignited over the weekend when Justin’s mother, Pero Adeniyi, shared a series of celebratory photos from the graduation ceremony at a prestigious high school in London, expressing immense maternal pride and gratitude for her son's academic milestone as he prepares to transition into higher education.

Following the post, a cross-section of Nigerian internet users flooded social media platforms, heavily criticizing the multi-award-winning singer for failing to attend the milestone event in person, contrastingly pointing out his consistent presence in the lives of his children with other former partners prior to his marriage to his new wife, Natasha Osawaru.

Responding directly to the mounting public pressure and digital criticism, 2Baba took to his official Instagram handle on Monday, June 8, 2026, to share pictures from the graduation event, adding a direct caption that read: "Congratulations son," effectively moving to quieten the widespread co-parenting narratives making rounds online.
