The Oyo State Police Command has uncovered a shocking case of internal betrayal, linking a personal assistant attached to a close family member of the former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, to the violent abduction of the politician's sister and her twin children.
Disclosing the sensitive operational developments on Monday morning, June 8, 2026, during an live interview on Channels Television’s flagship programme The Morning Brief, the Police Public Relations Officer for the command, SP Olayinka Ayanlade, revealed that the close political aide actively conspired with an armed kidnapping syndicate to orchestrate the targeted operation.
