Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Zamfara State have successfully rescued the four remaining students of the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda, who were abducted by armed bandits in early June.
The rescue operation, executed late Wednesday evening, was conducted through intelligence-led tactics and resulted in the safe recovery of all victims without any ransom payment.
The students were originally seized alongside two colleagues on June 3 when armed bandits launched a night attack on their off-campus hostel located in the Low-cost area of Kaura Namoda.

While two students were recovered during an earlier security push, DSS operatives intensified targeted tracking to secure the remaining hostages—comprising four males and one female. Authorities confirmed that one kidnapper was apprehended while others were neutralized during the engagement.
