Osun Police Command Declares 'Emir' and Four Others Wanted Over Escalating Political Violence

In an effort to curb escalating political violence ahead of the 2026 Osun State governorship election, the Osun State Police Command has officially declared five individuals wanted for murder, maiming, and assault.

The suspects—identified as Dauda Olamilekan (alias "Emir"), Taoreed (alias "Small Rugged"), Adetunji Kamoru Olatunde, Saka Afees ("Terror"), and Adeyemi Saheed—were named as primary instigators following intelligence-led investigations.

Police spokesperson DSP Abiodun Ojelabi confirmed that the identified suspects spearheaded recent violent clashes and thuggery across Osogbo and surrounding communities that resulted in multiple fatalities.
