The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has once again captured national attention following a major update from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The examination body began trending heavily across Nigeria after officially releasing 279 UTME results that were previously withheld for investigation over suspected examination malpractices and systemic infractions.
The results had been placed on a strict administrative hold following the conclusion of the main examinations to allow JAMB's technical and security teams to conduct a thorough audit of the affected computer-based test (CBT) centers.
Following an extensive review process, the board cleared these 279 candidates of any wrongdoing, allowing them to finally view and print their scores online. This resolution brings immense relief to the affected students, as it allows them to urgently participate in the ongoing course and institution correction window before the university admission screening cycles commence.
