Abuja-based disc jockey Amaobi Udeh, popularly known as VDJ Mobi, has successfully completed a grueling 72-hour non-stop performance in an ambitious bid to enter the Guinness World Records.
The event, titled "Mobi’s Mixathon," saw the DJ maintain high-energy sets for three consecutive days at Graysyon Suites and Apartments, Abuja.
Reflecting on the feat, VDJ Mobi described the experience as a test of both mental and physical endurance. “Standing here after 72 hours, the physical exhaustion is real, but the mental fulfilment is on another level,” she shared.
The DJ expressed confidence in the validation process, noting that her team strictly adhered to all Guinness World Record protocols, including meticulous logbooks and witness transitions.
Beyond the music, VDJ Mobi dedicated the marathon to the advocacy of the girl-child, using the 72-hour broadcast to emphasize that young girls deserve every opportunity to dream and achieve.
According to Qubes Magazine research online, this attempt adds to the growing list of Nigerians seeking to put the country on the global map through endurance-based world records.
