Controversial Nigerian musician Speed Darlington has voiced strong opposition to President Bola Tinubu’s potential re-election bid, describing a second term for the current administration as “hellfire” for Nigerians.
In a viral video shared on Wednesday, the singer criticized the government’s economic policies and the handling of national security.
Darlington particularly pointed to the 2023 removal of the fuel subsidy as a major trigger for the current economic hardship, accusing the administration of ignoring the ripple effect on the cost of living. “From your first term, we already know that your second term is going to be hellfire,” he lamented.
He further questioned the president's achievements, citing structural failures and worsening insecurity across the federation.
