The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has rescued 17 foreign nationals and arrested four suspects in a major crackdown on a human trafficking and fraud syndicate in Badagry.
The victims, primarily from West and Central Africa, were allegedly lured into Nigeria under the guise of profitable network marketing opportunities.
Investigations revealed the syndicate operated multiple "camps" across Badagry, including Torikoh and Aradagun, where victims were detained and forced into a fraudulent internet scheme called QNET.

Recruits were reportedly extorted of up to 650,000 CFA for registration and subjected to inhumane conditions.
One victim from the Central African Republic raised the alarm after his phone was seized and his SIM cards destroyed.
According to Qubes Magazine, the suspects—three Togolese and one Beninese national—tried to bribe the NSCDC operatives with 130,000 CFA to evade arrest.
Commandant Adedotun Keshinro confirmed that the suspects have been handed over to the Nigeria Immigration Service, while the recovered exhibits, including QNET-branded documents and laptops, will be used for further prosecution.
