Troops of Sector 2, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have successfully intercepted over 400 Starlink communication devices allegedly utilized by Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists.
Brigadier General Beyidi Martins disclosed the breakthrough during a press briefing in Damaturu on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
The seizure is part of a strategic "strangulation" operation designed to sever the technological and logistical lifelines of insurgents in the Timbuktu Triangle and Sambisa Forest.

General Martins explained that terrorists have increasingly relied on civilian supply chains to smuggle advanced gadgets, fuel, and medical supplies into their hideouts.
The military has intensified its crackdown on collaborators—some of whom act willingly and others under coercion—targeting traders and transporters across the Kano-Nguru corridor.
According to Qubes Magazine, the military is also tackling the financial roots of the insurgency by regulating local livestock markets to prevent the sale of rustled animals used for funding.
