Elisabetta Tai Ferretto, the 50-year-old former model and one of the first women to publicly accuse Jeffrey Epstein, has been found safe after being reported missing in late April.
After an international search involving the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, authorities confirmed on May 7 that Ferretto is currently in a detention facility in Florida.
Ferretto had vanished after arriving in New York from Italy on April 22, causing her family in the Veneto region to fear that her disappearance was linked to her history as a high-profile witness.

She famously detailed a 2004 encounter where she defended herself against Epstein with a vibrator at his Manhattan townhouse.
According to Qubes Magazine, while she has been located, the specific legal reasons for her detention in Florida have not yet been publicly released.
