Nollywood actress Sophia Chisom, widely recognized across digital platforms and movie productions as Soso, has asserted that onscreen intimacy should remain strictly professional, explicitly discouraging actors from seeking personal gratification during romantic movie roles.
Soso shared her professional perspective during a recent television interview with TVC, addressing recent public commentary from industry colleagues who complained about never experiencing a "good kiss" while working on movie sets.
The actress maintained that romantic scenes are technical requirements of the script rather than avenues for mutual pleasure, explaining that her male co-stars can never get a deeply passionate kiss from her due to the strict boundaries she enforces.
"I don’t know if people kiss with their tongues but I do not kiss with my tongue. My teeth are always close during kissing scenes so it is just the lips," Soso stated. She added that she maintains a heightened consciousness regarding health, hygiene, and personal boundaries, making her heavily opposed to swapping saliva with colleagues in the name of acting.
