Veteran musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face, has weighed in on the contentious debate comparing Afrobeats superstar Wizkid to the late Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, dismissing it as "ridiculous" and disrespectful.
The debate was reignited after Wizkid claimed he was "bigger" than Fela in response to criticisms from Fela's son, Seun Kuti. Reacting in a snippet from the upcoming Mic On podcast, 2Face criticized the comparison from both angles.
“Comparing Fela with Wizkid is ridiculous. Apart from the fact that it is disrespectful to Fela, and at the same time, it is also unfair to Wizkid,” 2Face expressed.
