Kwara Central Senator, Saliu Mustapha, has publicly declared his confidence in securing victory over Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in their upcoming electoral contest for the Kwara Central Senatorial seat.
Speaking on an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today, Mustapha asserted that he would secure a decisive lead early on election day before final results are compiled.
The rivalry follows Mustapha's recent resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the opposition.
Mustapha attributed his departure from the ruling party to inadequate internal consultation and poor management of political interests by the state leadership.
The upcoming contest sets up a prominent political battle in Kwara State as key figures align their campaign strategies.
