Management at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka, Anambra State, has launched an official administrative investigation following viral video footage depicting an assault on a lecturer in the Department of Chinese Studies.
The incident occurred on August 15 within the campus premises following allegations of attempted sexual misconduct involving a female student.
In a statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Aloysius Attah, the university expressed sadness over the event while condemning any resort to self-help or jungle justice.
