World Cup Hero Vozinha Signs 18-Month Deal with Chilean Giants Colo Colo

Cape Verde’s 40-year-old goalkeeper Josimar José Évora Dias, popularly known as Vozinha, has officially agreed to an 18-month contract with Chilean powerhouse Colo Colo.

The transfer comes on the heels of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the veteran shot-stopper became a global sensation following a series of standout performances for his national team.

Entering the tournament as a free agent after departing Portuguese second-tier side Chaves, Vozinha registered 18 saves across four matches, notably holding eventual world champions Spain to a goalless draw and producing crucial saves against Argentina in the knockout rounds.
