She asserted that if contemporary women are making heavier financial demands, it is primarily because a vast majority of wealthy Nigerian men possess no conversational depth, emotional maturity, or strategic courting skills, choosing instead to use cash as an absolute substitute for romance.
"From time immemorial, a relationship between a man and a woman has always been transactional, right from the Garden of Eden, right from our parents’ days. And the degree at which it is happening now, I will blame the men. Sometimes, that [financial benefits] is all men have to offer. Nigerian men don’t have games aside from money.
Once a Nigerian man makes money, he starts throwing it at the hottest girls," Toke Makinwa stated candidly during the session.
The television host detailed how successful men routinely introduce extreme financial incentives at the absolute beginning of courtship, often making it incredibly difficult for independent women to get to know their authentic personalities without monetary distractions.
