Authorities in Zambia have initiated a full investigation into the sudden death of 25-year-old model and socialite Lisa Mutambo, who passed away shortly after returning from a night out in Lusaka's Kalundu area.
Deputy Police Spokesperson Chipo Kaitisha confirmed that Mutambo fell unconscious at her residence after experiencing severe vomiting during the early hours of Thursday.
She was rushed to Victoria Hospital by her partner and a friend but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Addressing social media speculation regarding potential physical violence, police stated that initial physical examinations revealed no signs of trauma or external injuries.
The body has been transferred to the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary for a formal postmortem examination to establish the precise cause of death.
