Spain Expands International Football Dominance With Dual World Cup Crowns

Spain has officially become the first country in football history to simultaneously hold both the FIFA Men’s World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup trophies.

FIFA confirmed the historic milestone following the Spanish men's national team's 1-0 victory over Argentina in the 2026 final in New York.

The men's team victory follows three years after Spain's women's team lifted their first FIFA Women's World Cup trophy by defeating England 1-0 in the 2023 final in Sydney, Australia.
