Iconic alternative singer Olawale Olofooro, popularly known as Brymo, has reignited his bitter public rivalry with Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, declaring that the Last Last star must pay for offending him.
Speaking during a heated appearance on the latest episode of the Notjustok Podcast, Brymo explicitly warned that he is actively seeking revenge for the creative and personal slights directed at him by his industry colleague.
The long-running animosity between the two artists dates back to 2023, when Brymo publicly alleged that Burna Boy had unceremoniously sampled and borrowed musical concepts from his unreleased catalog. Burna Boy subsequently fired back with a scathing, viral live freestyle containing the sharp lyric “hustle make you no go fall off like Brymo.”
Reflecting on the fallout, Brymo insisted that Burna Boy's actions crossed a line, underestimating his standing in the music landscape.
“Your name no go ever appears for my song for life. You’re too small, who is your mate? I don’t care what fraternity you belong to," Brymo asserted during the recording.
"He has wronged me and I must take revenge. He has bitten more than he can chew and must be dealt with.”
Dismissing Burna Boy's global accolades and street affiliations, Brymo maintained that no amount of industry backing or fraternal connections would shield the singer from his planned retribution.
While the alternative music star did not specify what exact form his retaliation would take, his blunt refusal to ever associate with or acknowledge Burna Boy's musical footprint marks a severe escalation in one of Afrobeats' most enduring personal standoffs.
