The leadership of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has issued a fiery, no-nonsense public disclaimer debunking widespread speculations that its revered General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, actively campaigned for the current government in power.
In an official press release signed and issued by the RCCG Public Relations Directorate on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, the global church apparatus clarified that Pastor Adeboye has consistently maintained a strictly non-partisan stance throughout his decades of spiritual leadership.
According to the official statement, Pastor Adeboye’s civic messages have always been confined to encouraging all eligible members of the congregation to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote for candidates of their personal choice, regardless of political affiliation.

The church also completely refuted malicious online reports claiming the cleric arbitrarily canceled a planned mass public protest, explaining that he simply communicated a unified directive from the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) regarding logistical adjustments to a centralized three-day prayer grand finale and rally.
Expressing deep frustration over persistent media misrepresentations, the RCCG warning stated: "The lies have gone on long enough. It stops now!!! Any future publication concerning Pastor E.A. Adeboye or The RCCG must be verified through the church's official PR platform."
