There was a major breakthrough in the quest for justice on Monday, June 1, 2026, as five police officers linked to the controversial death of 28-year-old Delta State musician and delivery personnel, Oghenemine Ogidi (popularly known as OG Millan), were formally arraigned before an Asaba High Court.
The high-profile case, filed under Suit No. THC/ASB/CR/M/66C/2026, was presided over by Justice Marshal Onome Umukoro of High Court 5.
The defendants—ASP Usman Nuhu, ASP Onoloko Dauroupamo, ASP Okoh Kelechi, Inspector Goodluck Kingsley, and Inspector Omonigho Ahweyevu—were ordered to be remanded at the Ogwashi-Uku Correctional Centre pending the receipt of formal legal advice from the State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The victim's brother, Victory Ogidi, and cousin, Emuobor Alex, lamented that the police command and the Ministry of Justice have failed to formally brief them or present the official autopsy report, forcing them to rely on social media updates.
The homicide trial stems from the tragic events of April 26, 2026, in Effurun, where OG Millan died under questionable circumstances after being intercepted by the officers over a delivery package allegedly containing a firearm.
