Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Chief Sunday Dare, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a bold, reform-driven leader who intentionally embraced difficult economic and governance decisions that previous administrations actively avoided.
Dare shared these perspectives in an extensive reflection titled, “Reformer-In-Chief: Reflections on Governance, Leadership, and Reform Across One Thousand and Ninety-Five Days of President Bola Tinubu,” released on Thursday to commemorate the administration’s third anniversary in office.
In the analytical piece, Dare argued that President Tinubu’s first 1,095 days represent a defining milestone in Nigeria’s democratic evolution, marked by deliberate structural policies designed to rectify accumulated financial distortions.

He noted that successive past leaders fully recognized the fiscal dangers posed by fuel subsidies, multiple exchange rate windows, and unsustainable public expenditures, but repeatedly postponed corrective actions for temporary political comfort.
Backing the president based on a 28-year close association, Dare acknowledged the intense inflationary pressures and economic hardships currently being endured by citizens, but maintained that national transformation cannot occur without sacrifice, describing the painful policy adjustments as the necessary beginning of long-term national correction and recovery.
