Singer B-Red Adebayo Adeleke in Osogbo after alleged assassination attempt



The Osun State Government has raised an alarm over a targeted assassination attempt on popular singer Adebayo Adeleke, widely known as B-Red, and son of Governor Ademola Adeleke.


In a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Kolapo Alimi, the government revealed the incident occurred on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in the Oke-Fia area of Osogbo. 


B-Red recounted being intercepted by motorcyclists wearing "AMBO" branded caps who attempted to pin his vehicle down.

The situation escalated when a white Toyota Venza, allegedly carrying a known APC figure identified as Asiri Eniba, gave chase.


“The pursuit continued through several streets until I managed to drive into the Government House gate for safety,” B-Red stated. 


The Osun State Government has reported the matter to the police, describing the incident as a serious threat to state security and the Governor's family.
