Appearing on a recent episode of the Talk to B multimedia podcast, the screen star gave a harrowing, emotional account of her marital ordeal, revealing that she tragically lost four separate pregnancies due to brutal physical assaults inflicted by her ex-husband.
Reflecting on the initial stages of the relationship, Yusuf disclosed that she overlooked clear socio-economic red flags and even financed approximately 70 percent of their wedding ceremony in an attempt to support her partner, despite warnings from close companions who felt he was of a lower social caliber.
However, she alleged that the domestic abuse commenced exactly two days after their nuptials.
The catalyst for their initial dispute was a simple congratulatory text message from a male acquaintance, to which Yusuf had responded using the platonic term "dear."

Yusuf explained that her decision to endure the toxic environment for so long was heavily influenced by traditional parental counseling, as her mother and father repeatedly urged her to exercise patience and preserve her home.
Only her younger siblings, who resided within the household at the time, witnessed the extent of the trauma firsthand.
The actress noted that the violent pattern continued until a final domestic altercation left her severely injured and covered in blood, an incident that eventually leaked onto prominent digital gossip blogs like Gistlover.
Yusuf used the platform to advocate for immediate self-preservation over societal expectations, advising women caught in cycles of spousal battery to prioritize their lives and mental health over flawed marital endurance.
