Known for his vulnerable and raw artistry, Omah Lay described himself as "insanely talented" and admitted that his need to create art is essential to his mental well-being.

“I am crazy. My head is not correct. I need to create art to feel good... I am going to build stuff that would change the world,” he shared during the interview.

The "Soso" crooner also paid homage to the artists who inspired his journey, citing Wizkid, Burna Boy, Drake, The Weeknd, and Harry Styles as his musical idols.
