Nigerian Woman, 28, Arrested for Operating Illegal Brothel in Ghana’s Ashanti Region
The Ghana Police Service has apprehended Esther Egbuhama, a 28-year-old Nigerian woman, for allegedly running a brothel in the Ashanti Region.
The suspect was arrested during a high-stakes raid on a facility known as "Mama Nice Lodge" in Manso Watreso on Sunday, April 19, 2026.
The Manso Nkwanta Police Command conducted the operation following credible intelligence regarding illicit activities at the lodge.
While Egbuhama was successfully taken into custody, several other accomplices managed to flee the scene before security operatives arrived.
The Ashanti South Regional Police Command reminded the public that operating a brothel is a serious criminal offense under the Ghanaian Criminal Offences Act.
Egbuhama is currently assisting the police with investigations, while a manhunt has been launched to track down the fleeing suspects.
