The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspects, Elijah Emmanuel (23) and Tony Ogenata (21), for the brutal murder of Thompson Adams, a 17-year-old student who had just sat for the UTME.
State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Tijani, disclosed during a press conference in Ikeja that the suspects were former secondary schoolmates of the victim.
They allegedly lured Adams to their apartment in Ikorodu on April 22, 2026, after he left the examination hall, where they murdered him and disposed of his body in a bag.
Shockingly, investigations revealed the duo are serial offenders. CP Tijani noted that they confessed to the November 2025 kidnapping and murder of a female victim, who was a girlfriend to one of the suspects.
Despite receiving a N300,000 ransom from her family, they proceeded to kill her. “After collecting the N300,000, they still went ahead and murdered the lady,” Tijani told journalists. The suspects remain in custody pending a court appearance.
