Federal Manhunt Underway for Nigerian Romance Scammer Who Fled Before Prison Surrender
Emuobosan Emanuella Hall (45), a Nigerian national and US permanent resident, is the subject of a federal arrest warrant after failing to report to the Bureau of Prisons to begin an eight-year sentence.
Hall was convicted for her role in a romance fraud scheme that defrauded elderly women of over $850,000.
Last seen at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on March 24, 2026, Hall’s GPS monitoring device stopped transmitting at the airport.
Although she claimed she was flying to Minnesota, phone records suggest she may have traveled toward Dulles International Airport near Washington, D.C.
Hall and her co-defendant, Kenneth Akpieyi (already serving 25 years), operated Le Beau Monde LLC to funnel money from victims who believed they were talking to generals and entrepreneurs.
Hall now faces up to 10 additional years for failing to report to prison. U.S. Attorney David I. Courcelle condemned her actions, stating she showed an "utter lack of respect for the law."
