The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Linus Williams Ifejirika, the Bitcoin billionaire popularly known as BLord.
Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia admitted the defendant to a ₦20 million bail on Friday following his arraignment on charges related to the alleged impersonation of social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
BLord has been in remand at the Kuje Correctional Centre since April 1, 2024.
The police filed a six-count charge against him, alleging that he used VDM’s image and brand identity to promote his business ventures without authorization.
While delivering the ruling, Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia ordered BLord to deposit his international passport and cautioned him against making any public statements regarding the case.
Interestingly, VDM’s legal team withdrew their previous opposition to the bail application during the proceedings. The matter has been adjourned to April 27, 2026, for a full hearing.
