Kcee Finally Reveals Truth: "Why I Refused to Sign Flavour" Amid Feud Rumors

Kcee singer interview Yanga FM addressing Flavour feud rumors studio

Nigerian singer Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has addressed longstanding rumors of a rift with highlife star Flavour, tracing the perceived tension back to a pivotal moment early in their careers.

In a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos, Kcee opened up about the origins of the speculation, revealing that famed talent manager Soso Soberekon once brought Flavour to him for a potential record deal. According to Kcee, he was already an established artist at the time and decided against signing Flavour.

Kcee stated in the interview: "I came into the music industry before Flavour. Soso brought him to me years ago to sign him. I told him I couldn’t sign Flavour because I didn’t see the potential then."

He emphasized that his decision was not personal and expressed confusion over why any animosity would persist. The "Limpopo" singer suggested that part of the misunderstanding stems from how colleagues perceive his humble demeanor, which he believes leads some to underestimate his talent and accomplishments.

He further explained: "A lot of my colleagues underrate me, and my humility contributes to that. I don’t brag; I don’t need to. Time always proves them wrong."
