Wirtz Takes No. 7! Liverpool Unveil Full Squad Numbers for Ekitike, Frimpong & New Signings

Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike new Liverpool FC squad numbers 2025

Liverpool Football Club has officially confirmed the jersey numbers for their new summer signings, with German sensation Florian Wirtz taking the legendary No. 7 shirt.

The number became available following the departure of winger Luis Diaz earlier this week.

French striker Hugo Ekitike has been handed the No. 22 jersey, previously worn by Calvin Ramsay. Fullbacks Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez will wear No. 30 and No. 6, respectively, strengthening the Reds’ defensive options.

In goal, new signing Giorgi Mamardashvili takes over No. 25, while backup keeper Freddie Woodman wears No. 28. Promising academy goalkeeper Armin Pecsi will sport the No. 41 jersey.

Further squad reshuffles see Conor Bradley promoted to No. 12 and teenage midfield talent Trey Nyoni given No. 42.

The announcements come just ahead of the highly anticipated launch of Liverpool’s new adidas home and away kits.
