Late Wisniewski Strike Earns Poland 2-2 Draw Against Super Eagles of Nigeria

Poland national team head coach Jan Urban has expressed immense satisfaction with his squad's tactical output and mental resilience following a thrilling 2-2 international friendly draw against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The highly anticipated football encounter took place on Wednesday night, June 3, 2026, before a passionate crowd inside the 58,000-capacity Stadion PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, serving as a critical high-intensity test window for both international setups.

The Red and Whites launched a series of aggressive offensive maneuvers in the opening minutes of the clash, but structural defensive lapses saw them fall behind early when Nigerian forward Terem Moffi clinically buried a tap-in inside the 23rd minute to put Éric Chelle’s men ahead.

Poland fought back gallantly, restoring parity just before the half-time whistle courtesy of a composed finish from Kacper Potuski.
