Pop star Justin Bieber has responded publicly through his representative amid mounting legal troubles surrounding music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Bieber, 30, confirmed he is not one of Diddy’s alleged victims, distancing himself from the ongoing controversy.
In a statement to TMZ, Bieber’s rep said, “Although Justin is not among Sean Combs' victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him. Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”
Diddy is currently facing multiple federal charges in New York, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Bieber and Diddy were known to have spent time together during the pop singer's early career. One resurfaced video on Bieber’s official YouTube channel shows a then-15-year-old Bieber hanging out with Diddy, who cryptically stated, “Where we hanging out and what we doing, we can’t really disclose… it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream.”
Diddy added, “I don’t have legal guardianship of him, but for the next 48 hours, he’s with me.” The clip, which also featured both men joking about “getting some girls,” has sparked fresh concern online.
Bieber's statement aims to clarify his stance and shift attention back to the alleged victims in the case as investigations continue.
