Kidnappers Demand N60 Million Ransom for Release of Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar and Six Children in Abuja

In a distressing turn of events, bandits have kidnapped Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar and his six children, demanding a hefty N60 million ransom for their release.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night, January 2, 2024, in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory. Reportedly, the bandits allowed the father, Alhaji Mansoor Al-Kadriyar, to leave in search of the ransom to secure the freedom of his children.

Tragically, Alhaji Abdulfatai, the brother who bravely led policemen in an attempt to thwart the abduction, was fatally shot by the bandits. Additionally, three policemen sustained injuries during the exchange of gunfire, with two of them succumbing to their injuries, as reported by Daily Trust.

In response to the crisis, the victims' family from Okekere area of Ilọrin, Kwara State, has initiated a fundraising plea for the rescue mission. Sherifdeen, a relative of the victims, expressed the family's challenging situation, stating, "They have contacted the family, asking for a N60 million ransom after prolonged pleading. They freed the father but held the children captive. We have been given until Friday, January 12, 2024, to gather the money — that is N10 million per child."

In light of these circumstances, the family is seeking financial assistance and has provided bank details on Sherifdeen's Facebook page. He further appealed for prayers and any form of support during this trying time, emphasizing the collective hope for the safe release of their loved ones.
