Akanbi Elizabeth, the widow of late gospel minister Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji—popularly known as Toluwanisings—was overcome with emotion as she delivered a heart-wrenching tribute to her late husband during a memorial service in Ibadan.
The Night of Tributes, themed “Toluwanisings Lives On,” was held on Tuesday night, October 27, 2026, at the Jogor Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Clad in an all-white ensemble, the widow wept bitterly as she mounted the stage, struggling to complete her speech while being comforted by family members and close colleagues.
Toluwanisings passed away in the early hours of October 14, 2026, after slumping in Ibadan, leaving behind his wife and children.
The memorial event brought together top Nigerian gospel ministers and entertainment personalities to celebrate the impactful life and music ministry of the late singer, known for hits like "A Very Big God"and "Eleda."
Prominent attendees included gospel ministers Laolu Gbenjo, Esther Igbekele, Bidemi Olaoba, Peterson Okopi, and Adeyinka Alaseyori, alongside celebrated Nollywood actress Bimbo Oshin and music producers SB Live and Akintayo Akinwande.
The evening concluded with collective prayers, worship sessions, and musical performances dedicated to supporting the bereaved family.
