Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi has assured party faithful and voters that no political force will intimidate citizens or tamper with election results at polling units during the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at a town hall meeting titled "Obi Talks Nigeria" in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Obi emphasized that voters will aggressively defend their votes and ensure full accountability across all polling stations.
Addressing concerns over technical failures in past election cycles, Obi noted that backup systems and decentralized monitoring will safeguard result transmissions via the Independent National Electoral Commission Result Viewing Portal (IReV).
Running mate Rabiu Kwankwaso echoed these sentiments, criticizing the ruling party's performance on northern insecurity and stating that incumbent governor numbers will not stop voters from demanding change.
"Nobody will intimidate us again at the polling booth... This time, all of us will rescue our country." — Peter Obi, NDC Presidential Candidate
