Former Real Madrid midfielder and Ballon d'Or winner Luka Modrić has revealed his desire to return to the Spanish giant once his active playing career comes to an end.
Currently playing for Serie A club AC Milan following a contract extension, the 40-year-old Croatian star clarified in an interview with MARCA that any potential comeback to Madrid would strictly be to contribute meaningfully to the club's operations or technical staff.
Modrić departed Real Madrid after claiming a record 28 trophies with Los Blancos, including six UEFA Champions League titles.
As he approaches his 41st birthday, Modrić emphasized that his deep connection with the club means he will only return if he can add distinct value to the organization.
