The Kano State Police Command has recovered 160 units of stolen solar inverters valued at ₦59.2 million and arrested four suspects across separate intelligence-led operations in the state.
Addressing newsmen on Saturday, Command Spokesman CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa confirmed that operatives of the Sharada Police Division arrested 43-year-old Abdullahi Isah on July 29 after receiving reports that he was offering solar inverters for sale at suspiciously low prices.
A subsequent search of an uncompleted building at Haye Quarters along the Western Bypass led to the discovery of 160 units of 6.5KW/48V solar inverters.

In a separate operation, the Special Intervention Squad tracked and arrested three suspects—Bishir Abubakar, Shamsu Abdullahi, and Alhaji Shamsu Lawan—connected to an armed robbery at Jajire Filling Station in Gaya LGA on July 25.
The suspects had tied up security guards and stolen six fuel dispensing machines valued at ₦10.2 million. State Police Commissioner Ibrahim Bakori urged residents to report suspicious offers and assist the force with timely intelligence.
