Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has offered a satirical commentary on the renewed political feud between former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, suggesting the rift will persist until one of them passes away.
Writing on his official X handle on Saturday, August 1, Sani highlighted the extraordinary longevity of the conflict, noting that it began when the current generation of Gen Zs was still in primary school.
He remarked that despite decades passing—and that generation growing up, marrying, and having children—the political battle between both leaders remains active.
The commentary follows recent public clashes between the two statesmen. Obasanjo recently renewed hostilities by declaring that selecting Atiku as his running mate in 1999 was his biggest mistake while in office, while Atiku has maintained sharp criticisms of his former principal over long-standing administrative and political grievances.
