Highlife musician Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour Nabania, has shared a humbling experience from his early career when he was abruptly ordered off stage during a performance to accommodate legendary pop duo P-Square.
Speaking in a recent podcast interview, the 'Ada Ada' crooner recalled performing at a club when P-Square arrived, prompting the venue manager to force him to cut his set short and turn off his microphone.
Flavour described watching the audience's wild reaction as Paul Okoye took the stage to perform their hit song 'Temptation,' contrasting it with the crowd's modest response to his own performance at the time.
He admitted that the dramatic shift in audience excitement forced him to reflect deeply on his musical craft and trajectory as a rising performer in the Nigerian music industry.
Rather than allowing the public humiliation to demoralize him, Flavour emphasized that he leveraged the incident as fuel to build consistency, refine his sound, and work harder. His perseverance eventually established him as one of Africa's premier Highlife and Afrobeats icons.
