Brazilian forward Neymar Jr has dismissed suggestions from his father regarding a potential return to international football, reaffirming his decision to retire from the Seleção.


Following Brazil's 2-1 defeat to Norway in the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the 34-year-old striker confirmed his departure from international competition. 

However, comments from his father surfaced suggesting Neymar might reconsider his decision. Responding directly to his father's statements via football insider Fabrizio Romano, Neymar bluntly remarked, "It’s not my dad playing!"
