Nollywood filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele has faced criticism on social media after sharing birthday photos shortly after the passing of veteran actor Tajudeen Oyelma, popularly known as Ogogo.
The iconic actor passed away following a prolonged battle with cancer and was laid to rest according to Islamic burial rites.
While Akindele had earlier posted a condolence message on her Instagram story paying tribute to the late veteran, her subsequent decision to upload professional birthday pictures for her 49th birthday drew mixed reactions from social media users.
Several commentators expressed disappointment over the timing of the post, arguing that a period of reflection was appropriate given Ogogo's contributions to her early career during her time with the Odunfa Caucus.
