Arsenal kicked off their Premier League campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over newly promoted Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium on Friday night.
Kai Havertz opened the scoring in the 15th minute, finishing off a cross from Riccardo Calafiori to put the Gunners ahead.
Bukayo Saka doubled the advantage eight minutes later, converting a close-range chance following a fast break involving Declan Rice and Christos Tzolis.
Shortly after the half-time break, captain Martin Ødegaard added a third goal in the 49th minute following build-up play from Ben White to seal the result.
Manager Mikel Arteta praised his team's execution and fluid attacking play during his post-match interview, highlighting the importance of having his core squad fully available and firing early in the season.
