Premier League champions Arsenal have agreed a £75m transfer fee with Newcastle United to sign midfielder and club captain Bruno Guimaraes.
The 28-year-old Brazilian international has been at the top of manager Mikel Arteta's summer target list, with the Gunners moving decisively to finalize terms and reinforce their midfield options ahead of the new campaign.
Personal terms between Arsenal and Guimaraes have reportedly been settled for a considerable period, clearing the way for the player to complete his move to north London. Newcastle accepted the £75m valuation as it yields a massive profit on the £38m fee paid to French side Lyon in 2022.

However, the departure marks the exit of another key figure from St James' Park following recent transfers of Anthony Gordon to Barcelona and Sandro Tonali to Tottenham Hotspur.
The Brazilian midfielder is currently awaiting formal clearance to exit Newcastle's pre-season training base in La Manga, Spain, to travel to London. Medical evaluations are scheduled over the coming days, with Arsenal aiming to officially announce the completed signing within the next 48 hours.
