The newly appointed Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Segun Aina, has vowed an uncompromising crackdown on examination malpractice and fraud syndicates within Nigeria's tertiary admission system.
Speaking on Friday during the official handover ceremony at the board's national headquarters in Bwari, Abuja, Prof. Aina pledged to deploy advanced digital tools, administrative surveillance, and legal prosecution to protect JAMB’s institutional integrity.
Taking over from outgoing registrar Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, Prof. Aina—who previously served as a NYSC corps member at JAMB nearly two decades ago—reaffirmed his commitment to simplifying application processes and reducing candidate anxiety.
